How to cancel Bitdefender (Netgear Armor) subscription

I recently switched to a mesh setup and now I want to give away my old router, a Nighthawk RS400. It came with a tree year Bitdefender subscription of which there are two years left. Now I would like to know if I need to cancel the subscription before I give it away or can the new user just activate it for him/her self? I did do a factory reset on the router already. I hope someone here can help me out, thanks in advance.

    You will need to contact our Customer Care at customer.service@netgear.com and provide them with your email address and serial number.
