How To Stop Netgear Armor Vulnerability Scan on a device
The Netgear Armor scan is wasting paper on my printer. Apparently it does it's weekly scan, and the printer thinks a print job is starting. I want to disable the internal scan at least for that dev...

Scott, you are not alone. I've done the same thing with the same results. I finally gave up and disarmed Netgear Armor ("circle house" in upper left corner, settings, security, uncheck Enabel NETGEAR Armor - done). I'm paid up until next July, but the extra problems aren't worth it. I love the Orbi system, the Armor add-on isn't what it should be.
Scan night for me is Saturday, I'll let you know if disabling Armor did the trick.

Hi Glenvis:
Same issue here with all four printers I have installed in my home. First, I worked with their technical support to install a beta version of the firmware without much success. Then I changed the IP address of one of my printer and it still continued having the same issue. Finally, and as per the recommendation of Armor, I removed the printers from Armor scanning, and they still printed the dreaded 3 pages. The only remaining step left for me is to disable Armor the way you described it in your post.
But I do not believe we should stop here, we should ask for a refund. The minimum they should do is extend the expiration date of every affected member until the issue is resolved.
Thank you.

Test pages no more. Got up this morning and checked my printer, no test pages - for the first time in several months. Disabling Armor was the only cure that worked.
Sorry Netgear, but until Armor is fixed I won't be participating.

Hi all, this is still being worked on by engineering. We will provide an update once available.

Please add me to the list of people eagerly awaiting the fix for this!

One of Netgear's techs (Oliver) helped me download and install the newest version ( 2.5.1.8.) of their Armor software. Inititally, I could find NO update for firmware OR software until Oliver showed me where it was hiding. (None of my equipment showed my software as needing to be updated.) Since I installed it, I have had no printing issues whatsoever. That was on Feb. 12, 2020. I have run several scans since then with no unwanted printing. I'll feel better once a full week or two have gone by without those extra pages coming off the printer, but for now, it does seem that the issue has been resolved.
