Netgear Armor VPN Limit?

Why does Armor have a limit of 200mb per day?

Are we still living in the 1980's. 200mb is nothing in todays world.

Might as well not have a VPN at all if that is the case.

  • I beleive the VPN feature did not previously exist for the "Armor" licensed Bit Defender users.  So they added the 200 or 250MB free piece as..at least to me..an advertising approach to try and get more $$$ .

You can upgrade to unlimited for the account for I think $3(US) per month, might be a little less than that.

It shouldn't matter if the perk wasn't there before. I am a new customer. As I stated before 200mb is nothing in this day and age. You might as well not have it at all.

The computer protection business is a cut throat business, Norton, McAffee, etc... have there own VPN's and they don't have limits other than caveats, for example Norton's VPN will not work for Torrents.

It is also a real rip off because Netgear is charging $99 for protection for a year without Unlimited VPN when other companies are charging less with Unlimited VPN.

  • This is where I leave Netgear and  Armor for a router that makes sense and doesn't endlessly squeeze more $ from my wallet. I hate open-ended Internet charges and never expected Netgear to move in this direction. F-Netgear.

  • I reached 200MB within a single day. What happens now? Am I no longer protected? Do I need to throw more $ at the router or send somebody a check or credit card #?

  • See below you need armor plus for the unlimited VPN:
