Netgear Armor/Bitdefender requires password for automatic update
Netgear Armor is installed on Orbi 971 system with Windows 10 & 11 workstations. Antivirus is set to update automatically in the background; however, it does not unless you are logged in as an Admin...

That's a windows security feature. Something to ask MS about and user account controls.

I am well aware of this security feature in Microsoft Windows. It is not a problem, it's a feature. I founded and have managed a software company for over 30 years and relying on Windows User Account Controls and using non-Adminstrator accounts for daily use is standard best practices for security. Other products, like Symantec Endpoint are able to update in the background using the authorization I provided during setup. Bitdefender's implementation is simplistic and extremely inconvenient in comparison, and the recommendation from both Netgear and Bitdefender to pass out Administrator credentials to everyone is ridiculous from a security perspective. This is NOT what I expect from companies like Netgear and Bitdefender who claim to be all about security.

Contact Armor support then.
Good Luck.

Netgear Armor/Bitdefender is installed on Windows 10 & 11 workstations on an Orbi 971 network. I originally set up virus scans to run each night; however, they don't run unless the workstation is logged in to the account that created the scan. Then, when you do log in it starts to run the scan, even though the scan should be finished by that time.
Is it possible to schedule a nightly scan as an Administrator and have it run even if an Administrator is not logged into the machine?
