Netgear NTV 300

My Netgear NTV300 is not playing the YouTube nowadays! The App is not even opening!! Can any one please advise? Is it because this equipment model is outdated?

    the NTV300 was made in 2012 and is end of life (eol)

    Youtube might have quit supporting the app for it since it isn't updating any more. 

     

    Might be time to upgrade to a roku/fire tv/apple tv/android tv/etc.
