OSX Ventura: Can't use Time Machine Backup after installing Bitdefender
I recently subscribed to Bitdefender and installed it on my MacBook running Ventura.
My Time Machine back won't connect and tells me that this maybe due to anti virus software.
I'm now seriously regretting subscribing to this as support seems to be very difficult to get a hold of.
I get this report in BitDefender Notifications:
An unauthorized app attempted to access your backups.
App: /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd.bundle/Contents/Resources/backupd
We blocked the app to prevent it from altering the content of your backups.
Can anyone suggest what I can do to fix this?
How do I stop it from Blocking this?
Thanks!

smcrea, there appear to be two options for solving this problem: (1) disable the Time Machine protection feature in Bitdefender Antivirus for Mac (8.4.0.36), which is the version supplied by NETGEAR Armor; or (2) enable the Time Machine protection feature in Bitdefender Antivirus for Mac (9.2.0.12), which is the current version available for purchase directly from Bitdefender. Please see the recent posts in this thread.
P.S.: I am using Antivirus for Mac (9.2.0.12, macOS 13.2.1) with the Time Machine protection feature enabled, and have not noticed any problems.
