    ReadyNAS NV+ or RND4000 is already discontinued (EOL) and is replaced by the OS 6 models like the RN400 series and up.

     

    Inserting your drives on the same unit will just need to be booted normally and your data should be accessible after a successful boot. The problem might be with finding a good working unit on a reasonable price point. IMO, it is much better if you upgrade your unit and have Support assist you on getting your Data back though Data recovery services might be needed. You can check this article on migrating the data from a Legacy NAS to OS 6 NAS.

     

    You can contact Support through your MyNETGEAR portal, just login and register your device and create a Support case.
