Using Netgear Armor with Xfinity Modem/Router

Hello,

I have a subscription for the Netgear Armor. Now I live in the condo that provides

Xfinity WiFi modem/router. So, I don't need my Netgear router anymore.

How can I use the Armor with the Xfinity WiFi modem/router?

I still have 180 days of subscription and want to use them.

Thank you,

  • The only way to do so would be to connect the netgear router to the xfi box and use the netgear router.

To prevent a double nat (and still use armor) you'd either put the xfi box in passthrough/modem only mode or you'd put the netgears IP address into the xfi's DMZ.
