Circle uses BrightCloud that classifies https://www.hotspotshield.com/ as Computer and Internet Secu

The Circle is a parental control app. It has a profile option to "not allow" VPN's and proxies. However, that option will not block the HotspotShield VPN service. I looked into this matter further and Circle uses BrightCloud's classification criteria. I opened a support ticket with BrightCloud and they would not change their classification of HotspotShield VPN service from Computer and Internet Security to VPN service provider. Here is what they said. URL Classification Change Request -- Support Ticket Number: 590254 BrightCloud Data Update <noreply@brightcloud.com> Dec 1, 2020, 6:20 AM (2 days ago) to me, wr-dbchange We have reviewed https://www.hotspotshield.com/, and determined that it does not need to be changed at this time based on BrightCloud’s classification criteria. It is currently classified as Computer and Internet Security in the BrightCloud Service and available in Database version 7.584. You can read our Database Change FAQs for more information on the most common reasons why your suggestion may not have been implemented. Thanks again for your suggestion!- Webroot BrightCloud Threat Intelligence Support Questions? Suggestions? Need help? Contact us at: wr-dbchange@opentext.com. The trouble with this response is that I then checked some of the other VPN providers against the BrightCloud database and they all come up the same. Therefore, the Circle option to "not allow" VPN's and proxies is not working because it is using BrightCloud’s classification criteria. This option needs to be updated by Circle in order to actually work. A better solution needs to be determined.

Thank you!
