R8000P & Circle
Hi, Online literature seems to suggest that the R8000P supports Circle. I’ve set up my new router but cannot get it to work. Am I missing something? Or is Circle not supported yet? Thanks, Dan.

Hi,
So far, R8000P can't support Circle Partental control.
- GreenYamoDec 13, 2017AspirantThanks for the reply. This seems very misleading on behalf of Netgear as their own product page for this router describes Circle functionality.
I guess I’ll need to return it.- windsagaDec 13, 2017NETGEAR Employee Retired
Hi GreenYamo,
Let me explain more detail;
R8000 x6 do support Circle.
R8000P X6S will support Cirlce in the feature.
- GreenYamoDec 13, 2017AspirantThanks Windsaga. I still think it’s misleading. The screenshot I posted is from the X6S page, and doesn’t indicate the Circle isn’t a currently shipping feature.
Don’t suppose you’ve got any idea when it’s due? Or if there’s a beta firmware with support?

Hi GreenYamo,
If you would like to try, I will be very happy to provide trial FW to you.
Moreover, did you use Android device or iOS ?
This function also contorled by app, not only router FW.
I suggest you keep R8000P since it's a good product to use.
Ex: Wifi coverage, stable performance....
- GreenYamoDec 13, 2017AspirantHi,
I had an r7000p but found it to be unstable. First impressions of this router are really good. I’ve installed the Up app, and I’ve browsed through the website settings too.
It does everything I need, with the big exception of the Circle/Parental scheduling stuff. Circle worked great on the r7000p.
I’ll happily install the trial and give that a go.
Thanks for all your help.
