Hi Folks,
This month I switched from Apple Airport extreme/cable modem service to RBR50 v2.5.2.4 with one RBS v2.5.2.4 and Circle V2.1.8.9. I switched to a 500 Mb/s Verizon FIOS service and opted not to use the Verizon router. From the garage, I pick up the RJ45 connection off the ONT and connect to a MoCA Motorola MM1000 to leverage the COAX connection up the second floor, where another MoCA Motorola converts the signal back from coax to ethernet, where I plug to the RBR50. I rely on the 5G backhaul to connect to the RBS50 that sits on the first floor connected to my AppleTV. We are a large family of 20+ devices (MacBook Pro, iPads, iPhones, iWatch, AppleTV, Chromebooks, HP gaming PC, CISCO VOIP phone, etc.) connecting either through WIFI (mainly 5G) or wired (VoIP phone, MacBook Pro). Everything worked great upload/downloads speed avg 530Mb/s; however, in the last couple of days, the RBR50 started losing internet service. In the log (see excerpt below), I can see internet disconnects and reconnect, and internet status changes from Good to Waiting.
- I had Verizon reset the connection but not sure this is a permanent fix.
- I also found this post about resetting RBR50/RBS50 to factory default. I have not tried this because I am not sure if this a provider (Verizon) issue or Orbit Netgear issue?
- Does anyone know if either firmware V2.6.1.40 or V2.7.1.60 on the Netgear support website address this issue? The release notes do not give enough information?
Thanks
