Re: Rbr50 firmware
Folks,
So last evening I updated to the latest firmware V2.7.5.6 on my RBR50 router. Prior to that, my Circle app (parental control) was giving me connection issues, so I thought updating to latest firmware might resolve the issue. Sadly, the new firmware completely broke my home's Wi-Fi. I lost Internet connection on all devices, and the router's Network Map was also showing it couldn't connect to Internet. Tried rebooking the router and my modem (not Netgear) a couple of times but it didn't fix the Internet connection.
Finally decided to revert back to prior firmware version V2.7.5.4, which was I able to do so via manual firmware update option. Got my Internet connection back (thankfully) and my Circle app issues were gone too. My guess is that the original issue just called for a good old reboot.
Bottom line, don't update the latest firmware V2.7.5.6 just yet. Wait to hear from others' experience and then give it a shot. Have the old firmware binary downloaded and ready to rollback if needed.
Cheers,
Sac

we usually tell people to try a factory reset and reinstall if there's issues after a firmware change.
did you try that?
what modem do you have?
