Add modem to Access Anywhere by IP Address?
Do I have to be on the local network to add a device to Access Anywhere? I am remote and have the ip address of the CAX30 modem and I'd like to add it to my app.

My memory is that you may need to be on the local network when you set up Anywhere Access.
How do I enable or disable Anywhere Access on my NETGEAR or Orbi router? - NETGEAR Support
After that you can use Anywhere Access on any number of mobile clients as long as you have the login credentials.
You can also connect to a pile of Netgear devices. I have two Androids that can talk to a two routers (and an AP mode router) on different Internet accounts. The routers will need to be on the same MyNetgear "cloud" service.

Access Anywhere is only for the one device you have the Nighthawk app installed on.

Not sure that that answer has anything to do with the question that ShaKAshA asked, but it isn't accurate in my experience.
Anywhere Access, the correct name, allows you to use the Nighthawk App on at least two mobile devices to connects to at least two routers. Been there, done that.
