All Netgear apps say C7000v2 supported even though Nighthawk should

Sadly, the reset may be automatic thing to suggest, but it is a bit of a sledgehammer approach. It wipes out all your previous settings.
The problem is that when you move from one place to another, you can end up with completely different ISP settings. And the Nighthawk app is too dumb to manage that.
Getting into the C7000v2 with a web browser and the graphical user interface (GUI) gives you more control.

If you can get that far you can then put the modem/router through its internet setup wizard. If all goes well, the other local settings should stick.
They confirmed I’m on latest firmware.
Firmware is a red herring for cable modem/routers. You can't do anything about out. That is down to the ISP.
Just another user with time on their hands.
