App for R6300
So I have a R6300 and I tried to set it up via the NETGEAR Nighthawk app but it says (and Google confirms) that R6300 is not supported by Nighthawk app. What app can I use?

As plemans says the Nighthawk app does not support that router. For that to work, routers need updated firmware. The R6300 is a bit too old for that. Instead it used the Netgear app, which tried to do the same thing.
Netgear killed that off, but you may be able to find it on one of those online archives of Android apks.
The R6300 is now 13 years old, and was never the most advanced in Netgear's portfolio. If you need that sort of control. it might be a cue to get something a few more generations younger.
