brand new AC1900 NightHawk

my old (Linksys) router would let my hardwired computer access the internet, but started dropping and then completely stopped  broadcasting WiFi.....just bought a new router, the NightHawk 1900, and it fed my computer instantly just by plugging in.  BUT, can't seem to get it to send out a WiFi signal that I can connect to.  My phone shows the two channels and I've tried the admin, or supplied, password, plus the password I made up to fill in a blank that NetGear asked me to.......not sure which password is which now.  But, in trying both, still can't get access to my home WiFi with phone or TV..........grrrrrr.    :-)
