Can I use a separate router with my ac1750 c6300?
I want to know if I would be able to run an ethernet cable from my modem router combo to a separate router.

If you read page 71 of the manual, it explains how to use the c6300 with a router.

I use Cable One for my internet services and they recommended that I upgade my modem. After reading the response to this question, I am wondering if I have to also replace my router, or is a router integral to this new modem? The modem recomended is Net Gear AC1750/C6300. I currently have a Belkin Wireless G router, 2.4ghz -- 802.11g with one antenna. Could you pease advise? Thanks.

Hi odevaud,
The C6300 is already a modem-router combo. You can install the your Belkin router alongside the C6300 as an Access Point (AP) if you really need to extend/add wireless coverage and/or need the additional LAN ports. You can also install the Belkin router with the C6300 in router mode if you really need to create a separate network. But you can use the C6300 as is if you have a simple setup.
