Cannot log into the app because my recovery email no longer exists

I have access to my account and I want to update the firmware on my EX7700 but the app doesn't recognize my device and the only recovery option is my old email which no longer exists since I deleted it. Is there any way I can change it or at least delete it? I called contact support and they want me to pay for an extension for technical services even though it's just this little issue. Would factory resetting the device help me set it up on another account? Blanca_O Dustin_V
