Same for me.
I need to reboot my router each time i want to login with Genie. After a reboot it work.
I find it too much assle, so i log using browser at router ip address.
But there is many fonction needing Genie to be setup!
And even when i can login with Genie, the parental control doesn't work, at all, ever.
This software is a piece of **bleep**.
The old app was working well, and i wonder what firmware i should go back to in order to use the old app

Hi rl17,
We currently do not have an ETA on the fix. Rest assured, the issue is being worked on by engineering to isolate the cause and provide an update and fix as soon as possible.

I'm experiencing the same - unable to login to R8000 from Genie App on my PC; however, I can login using Genie app on my iPhone. Curiously, when I click on the router IP link from the network map in Genie (on my PC where I cannot sign in), I'm taken right to the browser-based R8000 login page -- where I can login and access / change features.

There is something wrong with the way that Netgear handles these things.
The usual logins don't work for some of us, only the IP address. Likewise the desktop genie only works if you use the IP address.
Try to login and you get some nonsense message about having to connect to your wifi network – I'm already hard wired.
The access regime is just bust and Netgear does not know how to fix it. Maybe they should recruit some rocket scientists.

The latest firmware update has fully resolved this issue for me. I can logon to Netgear Genie from both my PC and iPhone now. Whatever the gremlin was, it appears to have been resolved. Truthfully, this fix took longer than I expected; however, I am pleased to be able to actually use the app with my router.

I'm going on well over 24 hours with the official firmware, and the firmware is working as intended. It might have been just a hiccup. One other thing I have run into (and I might need to start a new thread) is since they decided to (stupidly) take away the option to give friendly name to devices in the web interface and make it an app only feature, some of the device I rename, the change are fine on the app, but when I log into the web interface or on another device those friendly names don't stick. Has anyone run into this issue?

Here the same problem.
However I don't understand why there is still no solution?

I am having the same exact issue. I can log in via web browser, however, I cannot log in with the iPhone / iPad app or the PC app. Rebooting the router helps, but if I try to log in again say 24 hours later, I am back to square one. I get Login Failed. genie Cloud server connection time out. Try again. I also have seen the message stating "NETGEAR router was not found or is no supported. Make sure that your mobile device is not connected to the router's guest network and that IPv6 is not enabled". Is there a fix coming for this? I think this started for me once I downloaded the newest firmware.
