For some unknown reason, shortly after my original post, I was able to reestablish a connection to my router through the Nighthawk app.
A short while ago, I lost access again, and the behavior is the exact same as before. The app will seem to connect, then prompt for Admin login to the router. It fails to authenticate every time -- "Logon timed out".
My router is using the latest firmware V1.0.11.136_10.2.120. I'm using an iOS device with iOS 15.6.1. The Nighthawk app has access to the Local Network. I have closed the app and restarted my phone completely clean. I have tried turning off Private Wi-Fi Address and Limit IP Address Tracking. None of these provided any different result.
I'm loath to go to the suggestion in your bottom link which is basically a full factory reset of the router. Are there no other options? How can Netgear allow this issue to persist, even as they try to push router management increasingly through their apps?
