D6400 Genie app failed to update parental settings

I'm having ongoing trouble with the genie app. I have it installed on my iPad as well as my phone but the router is currently stopping all devices from accessing the internet, apart from my iPad while remains set to bypass. I can't update any of the devices from 'default' every time I try it says "failed to update parental settings". This is happening on both devices that have genie on it.

I have tried reinstalling on both devices, being signed in and out of parental controls. Nothing seems to work. This is very frustrating, please help.

    Hi Garygardiner,

    1. Does the issue persists when you have LPC disabled?

    2. Please try modifying the filtering level using a computer (PC or Mac).

    3. If the issue persists, please try resetting the router.

  • What is LPC?
I can try it on a mac. Will need to download the Genie for this.
I'll get back once I have tried these and if you can clarify what LPC is?

    Many thanks

      Hi Garygardiner,

LPC is the Live Parental Controls. Please keep us posted.

        Thanks.

When LPC are disabled it removes the function for me to set the device security level indivdually. So no change there.

I've now tried to set it from my mac. It says I have the latest installed but it does not seem to offer individual device level setting on the Mac version.

Can you let me know how to reset the router.

        Thanks
