Devices on app, How do I know whats what Nighthawk

I have 5 devices on my app that say unknown. How do I know what they are and how to change names?  Also is there a users manual I can look at?

If you visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

you can feed in the model number and find all the documentation for your hardware.

If you have no idea what these devices are, check the MAC addess shwn in the App or on the Attched Devices list, and compare with the MAC addresses of the devices (printed on the device label, sometimes visible in some setting/information Web UI or App only).

Some insight on the device maker or vendor can be found based on the MAC OUI information - the first half of the MAC address https://www.wireshark.org/tools/oui-lookup.html

The Nightawk App does show an [Edit] button top right after clicking on the entry in the Devices list - this is for example an LG product:
