Do you see this bug where you can't possibly set DNS to your ISP?
Can you test whether you can click this checkbox and report back whether it works for you, or if you see the same bug?
For the life of me, I can't check the circle to set the router to get the DNS server automatically from the ISP.
I can check EVERY other check circle but not this one.
I can click, and click, and click, and click - but either the Genie software or the router firmware has a bug which won't let me check that box!
WNDR3400v2 (firmware version V1.0.0.52_1.0.81) :
Advanced > Setup > Internet Setup > Domain Name Server (DNS) Address > (o)Get Automatically from ISP
Here is a screenshot of the problem:
I have the latest firmware and I tried on both Windows and LInux.
I have tried multiple browsers, and I have even turned off all the browser plugins.
I have rebooted all the computers and the router MANY times.
I'm an experienced computer user, and I've been setting up routers for ten years or more.
Can you test whether you can click this checkbox and report back whether it works for you, or if you see the same bug?
It seems to be a bug either in Genie or in the firmware.

I don’t have that model router, so can’t work through what you are doing, but I’m just wondering why you have the router model number entered in the ‘Account Name’ box?
I think the issue may be that you have set a static IP for the router, and this may be preventing it from using DHCP, which it would need to use to obtain the DNS servers automatically. If you deselect the statid IP option then does the DNS option become available?
