Firm ware update for R7000P

I have received instructions on how to download that latest version of firmware from my iphone, however when I search for the latest firmware I receive a message that there is not a newer version and yet the version I am supposed to update to is a different number than the version showing.

    Where did that news come from? An email message? An app alert?

     

    If you visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

    you can feed in your model number and find the documentation for your hardware.

    It will also have any firmware for your device.

    That's the best way to update firmware. If possible, do not do it from a mobile app. If the wifi falls over in the process, you can end up with a broken router.
