first encounter with new App! R6260 AC1600 smart wifi router

had my first encounter with stupid app to set up new router! what a joke!! when will you folks learn that not everyone wants to use their phone to setup your equipment !

finally setup manually only to find it would not automatically connect until I setup an online account with netgear and then it connected, finished setup and ran the firmware upgrade.

why do you make things so stupid complicated?
