Hi gadingan26,
We are currently investigating this issue with some Windows 10 devices. You may use the previous version of NETGEAR Genie using the download link below.

Come on Netgear I can see my Nighthawk 6700 finding it's way in the local rubish heap. Based upon post warrenty support I wouldn't give Netgear a 1/2 star rating. I had a belkin router and thought I was up grading. I was sure fooled by Netgear and and Costco.
Genie won't work on windows 10 I can get online but I can't control it through genie. I was told when I bought it last March this is the best router out there.
Maybe it was now with Windows 10 they are the worst!!!!!!!! The only person I'd recommend a Netgear product to the Chinese maybe it would slow them down in hacking into the worlds systems

Did you read, and try the advice of, the post a few above yours from DexterJB? Maybe the older version of the Genie will work for you.
I do not use Netgear Genie, if you mean the standalone program, to control things. I use the web interface and my browser.

Pile of crap, I have R8000 router 4 months old and cant get any direct telephone support!!!!! The Netgear Genie software keeps crashing, so does the wifi connection!!! Worst support I have ever got from any technology product Ive ever purchased!!!!!!! If I dont start getting proper support, Im going to bad mouth this company all over the internet.

That will have Netgear quaking in its boots.
Have you tried using the web interface rather than the standalone Genie to troubleshoot your wifi problems?
When it comes to configuring your device, the standalone Genie is really just a front end, it will launch the hardware's control pages. You can bypass that and go straight to the control pages. Your manual tells you how to do this. Start on page 16. Or click:
Then you can do things like check for firmware updates that may have come along to sort out those unspecified wifi issues.
