Yes, the WNDR3400v2 does support the NETGEAR Genie app but is not among the supported devices for the Remote Login feature. The link below indicates the supported models.

Hi Fatherof390,
The R7500 does not support the Remote Login feature of the NETGEAR Genie. You can check the link below and the supported models are located on the top right.

Hi,
I am also experiencing the same error. I have uninstalled the Genie iOS App and reinstalled, Router Firmware version
v1.1.00.26 and Geniw Version 3.1.28 but same problem.
I enabled Remote Management in the Advanced Setup section but when I try and enable Remote Access in Genie
I get the message This router does not support remote access which is not true.
Any assistance will be most appreciated.

The remote login feature via the NETGEAR Genie app (which is not supported by your device) is different from the remote management option. The link below may help out.
