genie app
im so frustrated. im trying to log into the Geni app on my Samsung Galaxy S5 and it wont let me. it says to log in with the user name (which has 'admin' already filled in) and password. all of whic...
Are you using the Galaxy's wifi?
Before you can use the Android Genie access the control interface of the Netgear router you need to login to the wifi.
Only then will you be able to login to the control interface with the Netgear Genie.
The wifi login details are not the same as the router login details.
i logged into netgear, then it went to the next login. thats the one i cant get into.

Forget about the genie. First use your Samsung to access the wifi. Mess around a bit to confirm that you have wifi access.
Then start the Netgear Genie.
Then login with the default details user = admin (you cannot change that) and password = password. If password does not work, then you, or someone, may have changed the password using the browser interface.
We don't actually know what you are trying to login to with the genie. I assume a Netgear router, but which one?
not sure if related, installed configured PARENTAL CONTROL...and am trying to DISABLE, which apparently I need GENIE for
(im ok NOT usesing GENIE)
the darn app wont login with with ADMIN, which or course isnt the issue when logging into 192.168.1.1 (router)
i really want to DISABLE controls, (as this isnt what i was looking for, BLOCKING isnt what i want, i want to 'see' what / where the kids are going, who they are IM'ing..etc..)
anyway...please help me get back into GENIE or DISABLE my PARENTAL CONTROLS so i dont use your DNS anymore
