Do I have to completely remove the nighthawk app to replace my existing netgear router with a new one?

The question appears to be ambiguous.

If the existing router is a Nighthawk and will be replaced with a Nighthawk, nothing special need be done.
If the existing router is a Nighthawk and will be replaced with an Orbi, the Nighthawk app cannot be used to configure the Orbi, so the Orbi app will have to be installed.&nbsp; The Nighthawk app can remain on the smartphone (in cause you decide to "go back" to the Nighthawk).&nbsp; At some point, most people would remove the Nighthawk app as a matter of "housekeeping."
