Limit access to internet to specific MAC addresses on the LAN
I spend half an hour to write something, just to waste everything after changing the kind of text format from RTF to HTML. :-( How can I setup a time delimited access to some machines on the LAN limi...

Suggestion : use Block Services (Advanced > Security > Block Services) Schedule > ALL service > select the specific IP you want to block Schedule tab is where to set to the time frame you want to block the service I also suggest you set IP reservation for the MAC address so the IP doesn't change.

Let make things more practical ...
For example ...
From Monday to Friday the computer with MAC address xxx could go on internet from 5 PM to 10 PM limiting the total connection time to 2 hours and 5 minutes maximum.
Saturday and Sunday the same computer could connect from 4 PM to 11 PM limiting the total time to 2 hours and 35 minutes.
I got the possibility to make lot of this policies based on MAC address, day and hours and cumulative timing. It was a simple matter of copy the MAC address and make another 2 - 3 selections and ... voilà ... the new rule was ready to use.
But now? What you tell is not so practical nor elegant solution.
I think that should be a manner to make rules like this. Maybe digging deeper with a command line utility, but I bought this router to limit the access to my son and discovered that this is not possible the way I supposed to be.

unless you try the suggestion i told you then you wont see that the concept is the same. You may just have to configure 3 settings
1. IP reservation - where your MAC address is bind to your IP address
2. Block services - where you configure the service and the IP to be filtered
3. Schedule - the timeframe you want to set
What you want is not possible that is why I am giving you the possibilty with the same output.

Hey, this is exactly what I'm looking for. Is that feature now available 6 years after?
