Loss of wi-fi
In the last 3 years I’ve had a Netgear Nighthawk 74 and a Netgear 49 modem/router combo and each one has lost wi-fi. The internet provider (Spectrum) has done numerous connectivity tests and show a full connection to their cable boxes. Verified by me with all the cable connected tv’s. Spectrum is stating the trouble lies within the Netgear modem/router, which would make sense in that my iPhone, iPad and streaming tv’s have no connection.
Is this a normal issue with Netgear’s equipment in that it crashes within 1 1/2 years from purchase?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Steve W.

No its not. I've had stuff from them that still works over a decade later.
But a couple things.
1. those aren't your model numbers. Look on the actual label and post your model numbers.
2. what are the led's on the device doing?
3. Is wifi broadcasting? Are you unable to connect to it? Is nothing showing for ssid?
4. Details of whats going on are key. Many things can be recovered from but it helps to know your device and full details of whats happening.

I was able to get a free upgrade from my ISP with a new 1G modem and router. They also reworked my plan to save $25/month and access to free use of many streaming apps. Do you know if NetGear has a trade in/back policy?
Thank you.
