My Time deleted

My kid has an android, Samsung galaxy. She just deleted the my time app and avoided our Wi-Fi. I got no notification or anything. Can I prevent this?

  • NG can't prevent someone from deleting an app. You'll need to control the childs behavior. Something you could try and look in to is some external DNS control services, like OpenDNS or NextDNS and see if there maybe some controls you can set there and only you have control, no matter what the child does on the device.

Not much that Netgear can do when your kid avoids using your network.

Who pays for their phone bill?

She pays her own bill, it’s straight talk tho. And I reserve the right to remove the phone. Which I did of course.

That right there is the answer. Great job. There are ways around pretty much anything we do. It's the kids understanding why we do things and the consequences of our actions. My daughter is getting to that same age, and when she pulled something similar, my wife made her research and presented her findings of the reasoning for a similar choice we'd given her that she'd found a way around. All we can do is our best with kids because they'll find ways around stuff.
