Netgear Genie - Network Map
The Genie Map most times shows most of the items connected to the router, but lately it shows a line connected from the laptop through the router to the internet, but then 2 lines to question marks, ...

Hi Grannyb,
1. Do you have any power line adapters installed in your network?
2. If you are experiencing intermittent wireless connection, have you tried changing the wireless channel?
3. Yes, you can assign/modify the name of the connected device within the Network Map. You may find the link below helpful.

Good morning Dexter
Thank you so much for your reply. I'm pleased to report that all our many problems have been resolved by the visit of a telecoms engineer yesterday who has changed where the main telephone line comes in to the house. It now comes to the central hall and all our units now receive the signal from the router. We haven't lost the internet connection since and the network map is working perfectly.
Thanks also for the link to the Netgear help page. I'll now be able to identify the various units.

Genie is really mapping the network awfully!
Now we can reach 20+ devices!!
So Genie do not map the entire network!
