NETGEAR Genie doesn't work on this version of Windows

I have been running Windows 10 for several months without any NETGEAR Genie issues.  This morning when I booted up I received the notification "NETGEAR Genie doesn't work on this version of Windows"....

Hi frustratedmonty,

 

This is possibly a Windows update that does not work well with the latest version of the program. As a temporary work around, I recommend installing the previous version (2.4.12). You can use the download link below.

Netgear Support website reports the linked file does not exist. What now? In my case I have downloaded and installed the available version of Genie. Once the install process is completed Windows 10 reports the program does not work.

    You may use the download link below for the previous version of NETGEAR Genie that works with Windows 10. We are currently investigating and working on a fix for the latest version.

      The updated link worked. Successfully installed the back version of Genie. Hopefully the change needed to correct the problem on the latest version of Genie will allow the upgrade. Thanks much for your help.
