I have the same problem. The downloaded install image for Genie version 2.4.26 is formatted in APFS format. It won't install on any older version of Mac OS than High Sierra, so the update description saying that 'minimum Mac OS version is 10.7.5' is wrong.

Thanks Dexter. That is the version I already have installed: 2.4.22. This is the version that keeps crashing. The app offers the upgrade to 2.4.26 and this cannot be installed as the downloaded DMG file was prepared on a Mac running High Sierra, resulting in it being APFS format, which cannot be opened on any older version of Mac OS. This is in spite of your upgrade description saying 'Recommended minimum Mac OS version is 10.7.5.' In reality, due to the APFS package format, the minimum Mac OS required is 10.13.
