1. What is the firmware version of the router?
2. What is the app/program version that you have installed?
3. Please try uninstalling and re-installing the app.
4. Does the issue persist on your other devices?

The router is excellent! I am quite satisfied with it. The Genie is a hopelessly ineffective and poorly constructed piece of software. Nothing but problems with it. I would encourage you to visit the reams of comments on various threads (including this one) showing displeasure with it. Netgear can do better. Your IT people can do better, one would think.

Hi and hope someone can help.
As with loads of others I'm getting the message 'Netgear Genie has stopped working'.
I have:
Win 7 64Bit (Desktop)
Router firmware V1.0.1.40
Kaspersky Internet Security (Genie stops whether or not KIS is running or protection paused)
Netgear Genie has been on my PC for several years, mostly working fine but only recently has stopped working as soon as I launch it.
I have uninstalled and re-installed Genie several times and the Genie software is the latest that is available from Netgear.
Any clues?
