Netgear Genie unusable on Mac

Hello Folks,   Netgear genie is unstable on a Mac (El Capitan).   I cannot quit the application once I've finished using it.   I have to do a 'Force Quit' to kill the application.   Anyone have...

Having a problem with Netgear genie on iMAC using Yosemite. Need to log in multiple times. Also need to force quit after using. Have downloaded several times to no avail.

      I also have the same problem... This issue is happening for a long time.. Netgear is not interested in fixing this... Pathetic !!!

        Do you have to force quit the app as well in order for it to close? Are you experiencing other issues as well?
