Netgear Genie Update
I keep getting this banner message "A new Netgear Genie upgrade is available...click here" I have version 2.3.1.16, it downloads version 2.3.1.125, says installing, but then nothing happens. Check and I still have version 2.3.1.16. Is it necessary to uninstall and then reinstall the Netgear Genie? That does not make sense.
Has anyone successfully upgraded? How?

- Latest version is 2.3.1.25
- Yes I meant 2.3.1.25. If I uninstall will I lose any custom settings for the router or won't have any impact? I was wondering if anyone has upgraded actually clicking on the banner like it says to do. Thanks.
- Application installed on PC does not change any setting on router's GUI
