Netgear Genie with a wndrmac router

The Network Genie is asking me to input a 5 or 13 digit password to access the wireless network but the passwork is only 12 digits and the router will not accept it.  What's up with that?

  • Thanks Dexter...  I'm connecting an older PC notebook to my wifi.  I'm able to connect with an ethernet cable to the back of the router but when I use the Netgear Genie to help with a wireless connection it asks for a 5 or 13 digit password.  I verified the password and its only 12 digits....the Genie won't take it.  I made it work by setting up a "guest" network for 24 hrs but I still can't connect directly with the wifi channel.     I'll try to connect with the User Interface next.

    Hi ibear60,

    1. Try accessing the router UI itself to confirm the wireless password instead.

    2. What device are you trying to connect?

        Hi ibear60,

Thank you for the update. I would recommend accessing the router UI itself and make sure you have the correct WiFi password and router admin password.

        Regards,
