Netgear Genie with XAV 1301 and Windows 10
I use Netgear Genie for just one reason. Checking the speed of my Powerline Adapters. I currently have 3 off XAV1301 and 1 off XAVN2001. Unfortunately there is some history to this. There was once a...

Hi Royalman,
In the option to reply, there should be an option that indicates "Image". It will allow you to attach your screenshot files.

Hello Dexter,
I have now managed to upload the image. I have no idea why I couldn't do it before. Up to now I have written my post and then logged in. Possibly to insert an image you already need to be logged in. That seems to have been the only thing that was different when it worked.

Hi @Royalman,
Thank you. Are the values consistent at 10Mbps whether there is network activity or not?

Hello Dexter,
The 10 Mbps is constant. And independent of any network activity. Also I am on a metered broadband service. My monthly usage is about 20GB. And the vast majority of that is downloads (software updates, a few YouTube videos etc). My uploads are minimal; I do not participate in file-sharing or similar.
I am now convinced there is a bug in the Genie App. I had exactly the same problem on my old Windows Vista PC after upgrading Genie. In that case I solved the problem by going back to an earlier version of Genie. However that older version will not even install under Windows 10, so I am forced to use 2.4.12.
Thanks
