Please see my answer next to each questions in bold letters.
1. Which ports are you trying to forward? *8088 (A port that I have used
for web server and worked fine with previous router)*
2. How are you testing if the ports are opened? *(1. with mobile app that
worked before 2. open port scanner web app from outside the home network)*
3. Have you tried resetting the router?* (Yes)*
4. Have you tried re-flashing the firmware? *(Yes, with the latest firmware
R6400 version 1.0.1.6_1.0.4)*

1. Have you tried forwarding other ports? If yes, do they work?
2. Have you tried bypassing the router to check if it still works straight from the modem?
3. Do you still have your previous router? If yes, does connecting it still work?
4. Has it ever worked with the R6400?

My answers in Bold;
1. Have you tried forwarding other ports? If yes, do they work? Yes, I have tried different ports, none of them worked so far.
2. Have you tried bypassing the router to check if it still works straight from the modem? Yes, bypassing router R6400 worked fine. (Using my old router)
3. Do you still have your previous router? If yes, does connecting it still work? Yes, everything works fine when old router is connected
4. Has it ever worked with the R6400? No, not even when new R6400 is connected.
It seems, something is not right with R6400 model. Port forwarding can't be this problematic.

Have you tried flashing a previous firmware? If not, I recommend doing so as an isolation step and let us know the result. I also sent you a message. Please check your inbox.

I am have tried the firmware that originally came with the router and the latest update that it received online with router update process.
Is there a specific verstion you want me to try? Please provide me the version number and I will give it a try.
