Nether Genie and Finder conflict

Downloaded Genie on my Mac. Now finder will not close and the light green genie screen(blank) stays open. Desktop is not available. What to do? Last update on Mac.

How about lerning to live without Genie. Can't you shut down the Mac and reboot?
