NH 6700 Genie Parental Controls can't verify Router Firmware

Hello.

 

I was trying to set up LPC on my network. Previosly I had been using Open DNS.

 

I set up the LPC's as instructed but now when I go to turn LPC's on in the router I get stuck at a screen that says

 

Checking router firmware

 

We're making sure you have firmware that supports Live Parental Controls.

You don't appear to be connected to the internet. Please connect to the internet through your NETGEAR router and try again.

 

When I hit "Try again" it reverts back to the message above

 

Important to note

I do have internet access through the router  (wired and WiFi).

I did reset the router to factory defaults already

Current Firmware Version - V1.0.1.16_10.0.30 

The only other function that has stopped working is the Network Map in Genie. If I log into the router throug the web the network map is working. 

I can access and change all other settings

 

Any and all help is appreciated.

      Hi AJC1975,

       

      1. What is the operating system of the device where you have the NETGEAR Genie installed?

      2. Please try uninstalling and re-installing the app/program.

      3. Please try using another device (iOS, Android, another computer).

  • Sorry, I have been out of town.

    No the issue has been resolved. I was able to log in from my phone and then after that it started working as expected. I don't know why buy seems ok now
