Nighhawk AC4000 Tri-band (R8000P) - Nighthawk app conflicts with Mobile app
At home, I use a Nighthawk AC4000 tri-band router connected to a (non-Netgear) Technicolour modem. I use the "Nighthawk" app on my smartphone. No problems, all ok. Recently at the local village ...

Thanks for the input.
The consensus is that the MR1100 M1 router does not have Anywhere Access capability.

Do you have the MR router connected in some way with the R8000P? You shouldn't.
The MOBILE app only connects to the MR router while your mobile device that you have MOBILE app installed on is connected to the MR router.

I am sitting at my desk at home right now. I access the Nighthawk app and it sees my own home network, ok as always.
I turn off the app.
I then turn on the "Mobile" app - it then says "Incorrect WiFi Mobile Router - please use the Nighthawk app". I can't by-pass this screen.
What to do ? I am pretty sure the "Mobile" app is the one to manage the M1 router.

So the mobile device connected to the R8000P, then the MOBILE app wont' work. You need to connect your mobile phone or pad to the MR router for the MOBILE app to work.
I have a MR here at work with me and MOBILE app connects.

OK, thank you Furry one. But how do I connect directly to the MR from my phone & "Mobile" app ?

I think I may have it.
I had wi-fi calling switched on on my smart phone, so it automatically connected to my home network.
Turn it off --- it looks for the M1 router, out in the universe.
Thanks
