Nighthawk AC1900, Model R7000 DHCP server is faulty. Problems with Windows 10 & non-PC devices
Here is a list of issues I have expereienced with the R7000. Netgear refuses to give me a refund, and their online tech support folks just keep suggesting changes in the firmware, first to regress to...

Mar 02, 2016use PC and download 1.0.4.30 save and extract or unzip to PC desk top. Next! Start with a default reset. Disconnect modem and all lan connections except for a PC. Press and hold reset until power led flashes then release after router boots the PC should be rebooted and get IP 192.168.1.2 if not start over. Then login and go to update and browse to desktop and select 1.0.4.30 after it's done which could take 5 minutes the PC browser should open up,,enter setup again and change your settings then power cycle router.
Hopefully this will fix the problems, My opinion of the genie APP is that it's USELESS and shouldn't be installed.
Good Luck

Hi Searay
As I noted in my post, I've already done that. It only made matters wore. All the problems I listed above are occurring with the V1.0.4.30_1.1.67 firmware. The lack of SSID identification is one example of a problem that I did not see with the V1.0.6 firmware. I also did not see this new issue of Ethernet ports working while Wi-Fi connections were blocked, though the drastic slowing of Wi-Fi connections occurred in both cases.
Thanks.

I understand you've already done it. I also feel your pain when it comes to nitgear.
It might be worth doing it again.
Good Luck!

Installing beta code is their last resort, but I'm swearing off Netgear and will probably buy a Linksys router instead. I had this since end of 2015, hoping it would solve some of the same problems I had with a WNDR3700. Needless to say, it hasn't.
