Nighthawk AC1900, Model R7000 DHCP server is faulty. Problems with Windows 10 & non-PC devices
Here is a list of issues I have expereienced with the R7000. Netgear refuses to give me a refund, and their online tech support folks just keep suggesting changes in the firmware, first to regress to...

Hi Searay
As I noted in my post, I've already done that. It only made matters wore. All the problems I listed above are occurring with the V1.0.4.30_1.1.67 firmware. The lack of SSID identification is one example of a problem that I did not see with the V1.0.6 firmware. I also did not see this new issue of Ethernet ports working while Wi-Fi connections were blocked, though the drastic slowing of Wi-Fi connections occurred in both cases.
Thanks.

Mar 02, 2016I understand you've already done it. I also feel your pain when it comes to nitgear.
It might be worth doing it again.
Good Luck!

Installing beta code is their last resort, but I'm swearing off Netgear and will probably buy a Linksys router instead. I had this since end of 2015, hoping it would solve some of the same problems I had with a WNDR3700. Needless to say, it hasn't.

Here is the latest (March 2)
My latest set of problems began immediately after I rebooted my PC. I could no longer connect via Wi-Fi, and i then discovered that our entire LAN was down. At first, that even included the direct Ethernet connections.
When the direct connections came back up a short time later (at full speed), the Wi-Fi connections still provided no access at all to the Internet. That went on for a few hours, but eventually I was able to see a connection at only 0.2Mbps on my wife's PC. By this morning, that speed had increased to ~10-15Mbps, while I am still getting 90Mbps on my Ethernet link. Her PC is no more than 15 feet from the router.
This afternoon, I tried a test to see if your streaming QoS feature had anything to do with the speed anomaly. I setup her PC to stream a movie from Amazon Prime, which periodically got interrupted with warning messages of Internet problems. After ~2 hours, however, lo and behold her Wi-Fi link is now up to full speed!
Is the R7000 WiFi router adaptive and self-healing?
Don't get too excited though.
At exactly the same time, I have been testing my laptop PC, which is even closer to the router.. no more than 10 feet. It is only getting ~7Mbps on its Internet link, but that link is actually not 100% working.
I did a ping from my laptop to google.com, and I get a normal response: 17mSec for a reply.
But when I ping microsoft.com, as well as other sites, I get "Request Timed Out". What!??
Why is the router blocking access to some sites???
