Nighthawk app same "firmware not updated" when it is the correct version
I am unable to connect although I have the correct firmware version. Probably an App issue but they need to get this fixed.

Thanks for confirming. Your device's firmware is up to date and you should be good to go. I'll have the info forwarded to our App Team to look into the Nighthawk app and request for any changes needed.

Yes. Those functions are the real victims of this iOS "update".
You can do some of this stuff with a browser when you are "on site".
As a stop gap, have you looked into doing this with a mobile browser on your mobile?
The latest Nighthawk app no longer supports standard (free) Parental Controls, only the paid for Circle.
Parental Controls still work but you may have to to manage them with the desktop genie for your operating system.
On a mobile device you can use a browser and login to your Parental Controls account at opendns.
Manage things from there.
