Nighthawk app

Hello: Im new to this community. Just purchased the Nighthawk C7000v2. It works great. But the app is not working. I am receiving an error that states "Firmware Outdated" I called support, and they told me to call my ISP. (Spectrum) to update the firmware. They supplied the wrong info. This is not the case! Spectrum does update firmware. The app is useless. Anyone have advice?

  • You're caught in a catch-22. 

    The isp is supposed to update the firmware. 

    Problem is, they rarely do. Reason is, netgear sends them the firmware but they have to validate it before sending it to devices. But it costs them money to do so. so they rarely do. 

    But it causes issues with the app. 

    So it causes issues with the app. 

    So most just use the browsers. 

    Have you tried this option.

      Thanx for the info. For the money I spent on this equipment, you think there would be an easier way to upgrade firmware. Right now, its up to date.
