The Nighthawk App and the compatibility with all routers seems to be a big can of worms, issues wherever we are looking for. For now there is no other way but using either the desktop Genie (Windows or MacOS), or the router Genie Web reachable on the local [W]LAN on http://routerlogin.net/

What is the main cause that Genie is disabled ?

Let's guess: Marketing, standardisation (sigh....), getting rid of dated code, getting rid of features like file transfer, UPnP AV/DLNA server (on Windows/MacOS), ...
