Possible some VPNs block how NH app works to connect and thus shouldn't be used. Default for NG mobile apps is Anywhere Access which needs WAN side internet resources. VPNs can hide or block this for NGs mobile apps.
Local Access on the mobile app is more direct from mobile device to the modem when your at home.
Since one of the vpn’s was NETGEAR’s VPN you would think netgear would KNOW this but having looked at all the solutions from netgear concerning this ..NOPE not a peep .and I’ve seen several users experiencing the same problems I was having , it was worth putting out there to inform everyone… .
